Message summary & scripture references

God has given you a great calling but it’s taking way too long to manifest: bills are due, people aren’t calling you back, family members are looking at you funny. You are getting frustrated and you just want this vision to hurry up and happen. Sound familiar? If so, the Word of God from me to you is to “stop trippin” on how long your success is taking.  Take a listen to today’s message to dig into this concept.

Hebrews 6:12-15 KJV

[12] That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
[13] For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
[14] Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
[15] And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Genesis 12:1-4 NLT

[1] The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.
[2] I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.
[3] I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
[4] So Abram departed as the LORD had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.

Acts 7:2-4 NLT

[2] This was Stephen’s reply: “Brothers and fathers, listen to me. Our glorious God appeared to our ancestor Abraham in Mesopotamia before he settled in Haran.
[3] God told him, ‘Leave your native land and your relatives, and come into the land that I will show you.’
[4] So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran until his father died. Then God brought him here to the land where you now live.

Genesis 11:31-32 NLT

[31] One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter-in-law Sarai (his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot (his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.
[32] Terah lived for 205 years and died while still in Haran.

Genesis 21:5 NLT

[5] Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born.

Luke 3:21-23 NLT

[21] One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened,
[22] and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
[23] Jesus was about thirty years old when he began his public ministry. Jesus was known as the son of Joseph. Joseph was the son of Heli.

Luke 2:42-52 NLT

[42] When Jesus was twelve years old, they attended the festival as usual.
[43] After the celebration was over, they started home to Nazareth, but Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents didn’t miss him at first,
[44] because they assumed he was among the other travelers. But when he didn’t show up that evening, they started looking for him among their relatives and friends.
[45] When they couldn’t find him, they went back to Jerusalem to search for him there.
[46] Three days later they finally discovered him in the Temple, sitting among the religious teachers, listening to them and asking questions.
[47] All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.
[48] His parents didn’t know what to think. “Son,” his mother said to him, “why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been frantic, searching for you everywhere.”
[49] “But why did you need to search?” he asked. “Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
[50] But they didn’t understand what he meant.
[51] Then he returned to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. And his mother stored all these things in her heart.
[52] Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.

Galatians 1:11-12, 18, 21 NLT

[11] Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning.
[12] I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ.
[18] Then three years later I went to Jerusalem to get to know Peter, and I stayed with him for fifteen days.
[21] After that visit I went north into the provinces of Syria and Cilicia.

Acts 13:1-3 NLT

[1] Among the prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch of Syria were Barnabas, Simeon (called “the black man”), Lucius (from Cyrene), Manaen (the childhood companion of King Herod Antipas), and Saul.
[2] One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”
[3] So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
