Sometimes you need more money than your job or business is generating. Instead of quitting your job or giving up on your God-given business, just start a temporary side business to make extra money. In fact, the apostle Paul did this exact thing when he needed extra money.

After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. Here are the steps to starting your temporary side business:
- Start by identifying what you need extra money for and how much extra you need per month.
- Dedicate seven hours a week to your side business.
- Reorganize your family life to accommodate the extra time.
- Focus on a specific type of client with a specific problem (a person, not a business).
- Create a single solution (that’s close to cash) for their problem that your time and skills can bring about.
- Calculate the price of your solution based on making about 10 to 20 sales per month (accounting for taxes, marketing, and production costs).
- Sow goodwill in your target customer demographic.
