Message summary & scripture references

The Bible teaches us that Jesus is coming back for a glorious Church without blemishes. However, a major blemish on the Church is our lack of racial unity. For Jesus to return, we must correct this blemish. Thus, in a real way, race unification within the Church is a requirement for the return of Jesus. Listen to today’s Daily Word to learn why this is the case and how believers should work toward unification.

Ephesians 5:27 KJV

[27] That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

John 17:20-21 KJV

[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
[21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Mark 11:15-17 NLT

[15] When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifices. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves,
[16] and he stopped everyone from using the Temple as a marketplace.
[17] He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”

Isaiah 56:7 KJV

[7] Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

James 2:1-4 NLT

[1] My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?
[2] For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes.
[3] If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, “You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor”-well,
[4] doesn’t this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives?
Favoring one person over another is not who God is

Romans 2:11 NLT

[11] For God does not show favoritism.

Matthew 12:25 KJV

[25] And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Romans 12:15 KJV

[15] Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

John 13:34-35 KJV

[34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
[35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
