Discussion summary & scripture references
Just because you started a particular business or ministry that failed, doesn’t mean you should not try it again. Failure comes mainly because we lack the anointing. Therefore, if God is speaking to your heart to go back and restart a failed project, then this time it will work because you will be doing it again with the anointing. Listen to this replay from our live Faith-Discussion to learn more about this concept.
Luke 5:4-7 KJV
[4] Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
[5] And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
[6] And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
[7] And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
Joshua 7:4-5 NLT
[4] So approximately 3,000 warriors were sent, but they were soundly defeated. The men of Ai
[5] chased the Israelites from the town gate as far as the quarries, and they killed about thirty-six who were retreating down the slope. The Israelites were paralyzed with fear at this turn of events, and their courage melted away.
Joshua 7:6-9 NLT
[6] Joshua and the elders of Israel tore their clothing in dismay, threw dust on their heads, and bowed face down to the ground before the Ark of the LORD until evening.
[7] Then Joshua cried out, “Oh, Sovereign LORD, why did you bring us across the Jordan River if you are going to let the Amorites kill us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side!
[8] Lord, what can I say now that Israel has fled from its enemies?
[9] For when the Canaanites and all the other people living in the land hear about it, they will surround us and wipe our name off the face of the earth. And then what will happen to the honor of your great name?”
Joshua 7:10-12 NLT
[10] But the LORD said to Joshua, “Get up! Why are you lying on your face like this?
[11] Israel has sinned and broken my covenant! They have stolen some of the things that I commanded must be set apart for me. And they have not only stolen them but have lied about it and hidden the things among their own belongings.
[12] That is why the Israelites are running from their enemies in defeat. For now Israel itself has been set apart for destruction. I will not remain with you any longer unless you destroy the things among you that were set apart for destruction.
Joshua 8:1-2, 24-25 NLT
[1] Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take all your fighting men and attack Ai, for I have given you the king of Ai, his people, his town, and his land.
[2] You will destroy them as you destroyed Jericho and its king. But this time you may keep the plunder and the livestock for yourselves. Set an ambush behind the town.”
[24] When the Israelite army finished chasing and killing all the men of Ai in the open fields, they went back and finished off everyone inside.
[25] So the entire population of Ai, including men and women, was wiped out that day-12,000 in all.
1 Chronicles 13:1-3,7,9-10,12-14 NLT
[1] David consulted with all his officials, including the generals and captains of his army.
[2] Then he addressed the entire assembly of Israel as follows: “If you approve and if it is the will of the LORD our God, let us send messages to all the Israelites throughout the land, including the priests and Levites in their towns and pasturelands. Let us invite them to come and join us.
[3] It is time to bring back the Ark of our God, for we neglected it during the reign of Saul.”
[7] They placed the Ark of God on a new cart and brought it from Abinadab’s house. Uzzah and Ahio were guiding the cart.
[9] But when they arrived at the threshing floor of Nacon, the oxen stumbled, and Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the Ark.
[10] Then the LORD’s anger was aroused against Uzzah, and he struck him dead because he had laid his hand on the Ark. So Uzzah died there in the presence of God.
[12] David was now afraid of God, and he asked, “How can I ever bring the Ark of God back into my care?”
[13] So David did not move the Ark into the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-edom of Gath.
[14] The Ark of God remained there in Obed-edom’s house for three months, and the LORD blessed the household of Obed-edom and everything he owned.
1 Chronicles 15:2,13-15,26 NLT
[2] Then he commanded, “No one except the Levites may carry the Ark of God. The LORD has chosen them to carry the Ark of the LORD and to serve him forever.”
[13] Because you Levites did not carry the Ark the first time, the anger of the LORD our God burst out against us. We failed to ask God how to move it properly.”
[14] So the priests and the Levites purified themselves in order to bring the Ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, to Jerusalem.
[15] Then the Levites carried the Ark of God on their shoulders with its carrying poles, just as the LORD had instructed Moses.
[26] And because God was clearly helping the Levites as they carried the Ark of the LORD’s Covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
Numbers 23:19 KJV
[19] God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
