Many of us are trying to “figure out” how to succeed in our calling. However, figuring it out on our own is stressful. Why? Because God has not called us to make success happen, but to receive success in our calling. In today’s Daily Word, learn the three baby steps to receive success.
Matthew 6:33-34 AMPC
[33] But seek ( aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ( His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
[34] So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.
Psalm 37:5 KJV
[5] Commit thy way unto the Lord ; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
John 5:30 AMPC
[30] I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord-but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.
Baby Steps
- Revelation: Realizing that it is not your responsibility to make it happen or figure it out.
- Direction: Seek God each morning for what actions you are to take that day, and only do those actions. Throughout the day, listen for updates on what actions to take.
- Trust: Trust God with the outcomes (i.e. trust God to bring success).
