In this week’s lesson, we are beginning a discussion about the sacrifice Jesus made for our sins, so we could be reconciled with father God. Your children will learn that Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice. Below are our scriptures for this lesson. Throughout the week, go over these scriptures with your children.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16 KJV
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. – John 1:29 KJV
To help reinforce today’s lesson, here are 10 review questions to ask your children.
- What was the name of the garden Jesus prayed in?
- Jesus prayed so hard that it were as though great drops of what came through his skin?
- What did Jesus have to decide in his heart?
- Was Jesus’ final decision yes or no? Explain.
- Fill in the blank. Jesus was called the of God
- In the old covenant, what was the offering for the sacrifice of sins?
- In our new covenant who has taken the punishment for everyone’s sin?
- Who baptized Jesus?
- What did Min. April ask you to think about this week?
- Explain one thing you learned from today’s lesson.
