- You create a product or service that people want to buy,
- tell them you have what they want,
- and then sell them what they want.
And really that’s it. If your business is not working, then either …
- you are selling something people don’t want,
- have not communicated clearly the value of owning it,
- or you have not found the people who want what you are selling.
Here is the deathblow of success …
You lock yourself in a closet and dream up this great product or service that “YOU” want. And really that is actually selfish. You need to create something that “Your Customers” want. Business is about serving other people’s needs and wants, not yours.
So don’t get mad if people don’t see the value in buying your products or services. It is your responsibility to find out what they want and convince them you have what they want. It’s not their responsibility to buy, just because you are selling.
Remove the focus off of you, and put your focus on your customers. And you will be successful.
