Message summary & scripture references

Recently I have been feeling like my pursuit of my calling should be further along than it is. Because I was having these feelings, I was condemning myself for them. However, Holy Spirit nudged me to not condemn myself and to ask God some clarifying questions. He was showing me that it is not from a lack of faith that we ask God questions like: Should I be further along? Should I be doing something additional to increase my success? In today’s message, let’s explore this idea together so we can get the answers we need.

Mark 9:23-25 NKJV

[23] Jesus said to him, “If[a] you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
[24] Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
[25] When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

Luke 1:30-34 NKJV

[30] Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
[31] And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. [32] He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
[33] And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
[34] Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I [a]do not know a man?”

John 3:3-4 NKJV

[3] Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
[4] Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

James 1:5 NKJV

[5] If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
