There are no higher callings

There is a major misconception in the body of Christ that there are Higher Callings, usually associated with being in the ministry. However, God doesn’t have higher or lower callings. Assigning ranks to a calling is a man-made creation.

It’s a dangerous assignment because, for example, if you see your calling to entrepreneurship as lower, you may not give it the reverence it deserves. Whatever God has called you to do, it is of holy importance. Listen to today’s Faith Chat to hear more about this idea.

Romans 12:3-8 NIV

[3] For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
