Lesson summary & scripture references

We are continuing our series on faith. In today’s lesson, your family will learn that, as believers, we should walk by faith and not by our physical senses. Below are our scriptures for this lesson. Throughout the week, go over these scriptures with your family.

2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV

[7] For we walk by faith, not by sight

Romans 10:17 KJV

[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Psalm 1:1-2 KJV

[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
[2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Joshua 1:8 KJV

[8] This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

To help reinforce today’s lesson, here are 5 review questions to ask your children.

  1. Instead of walking by our sight, we should walk by what?
  2. Is faith based on our physical senses?
  3. How does faith come to us?
  4. What should we do every day to fill our spirits?
  5. Sing the song Minister April created.

We pray that this week’s message is a blessing to you and your family.
