Discussion summary & scripture references
When God gives us an assignment, there is also a time frame associated with it. If we delay implementing the assignment, then we need to check with God to make sure He still wants us to do it. Going back and doing what God has told us to do in the past (without checking in with Him) could cause unnecessary problems in our life. Listen to this replay from our live Faith-Discussion to receive revelation about this concept.
Deuteronomy 1:6-8 NLT
[6] “When we were at Mount Sinai, the LORD our God said to us, ‘You have stayed at this mountain long enough.
[7] It is time to break camp and move on. Go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all the neighboring regions-the Jordan Valley, the hill country, the western foothills, the Negev, and the coastal plain. Go to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, and all the way to the great Euphrates River.
[8] Look, I am giving all this land to you! Go in and occupy it, for it is the land the LORD swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to all their descendants.'”
Deuteronomy 1:22-25 NLT
[22] “But you all came to me and said, ‘First, let’s send out scouts to explore the land for us. They will advise us on the best route to take and which towns we should enter.’
[23] “This seemed like a good idea to me, so I chose twelve scouts, one from each of your tribes.
[24] They headed for the hill country and came to the valley of Eshcol and explored it.
[25] They picked some of its fruit and brought it back to us. And they reported, ‘The land the LORD our God has given us is indeed a good land.’
Numbers 13:31-33 KJV
[31] But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
[32] And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
[33] And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Numbers 14:34 NLT

Numbers 14:39-40,45 NLT
[39] When Moses reported the LORD’s words to all the Israelites, the people were filled with grief.
[40] Then they got up early the next morning and went to the top of the range of hills. “Let’s go,” they said. “We realize that we have sinned, but now we are ready to enter the land the LORD has promised us.”

Numbers 14:41-44 NLT
[41] But Moses said, “Why are you now disobeying the LORD’s orders to return to the wilderness? It won’t work.
[42] Do not go up into the land now. You will only be crushed by your enemies because the LORD is not with you.
[43] When you face the Amalekites and Canaanites in battle, you will be slaughtered. The LORD will abandon you because you have abandoned the LORD.”
[44] But the people defiantly pushed ahead toward the hill country, even though neither Moses nor the Ark of the LORD’s Covenant left the camp.
Joshua 1:1-2 NLT
[1] After the death of Moses the LORD’s servant, the LORD spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant. He said,

[13] “How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed. “You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you. Had you kept it, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.
